Which images work best?

Choosing which image to upload can make a noticeable difference in your animation. The same is true of taking a selfie. We suggest three primary tips:

The head pose should be front-facing as much as possible (not looking to the side or up or down)
Best to upload photos that are not blurry, too dark or too noisy (fuzzy)
Avoid big toothy grins or anything obscuring the face like eyeglasses (actually best not to smile)

How does this technology work?

When you upload a photograph the deep-learning technology makes it come to life by adding movement to the face in the form of blinking, turning of the head, smiling, and singing along with the music. A short video captures this realistic movement with high quality that you can save to your GoodTrust Library, download them and share with your family and friends.

Am I allowed to use any song? Why are there only certain ones to choose from?

We've thoughtfully selected songs that we hope reflect a wide range of options for people. We also want to respect artists and their copyright so these are only songs that can be shared with anyone and stored in your account.

'Will you be adding more songs in the future?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We plan to refresh the options on a regular basis so you can continue creating new animations and sharing them for various occasions.

Question 5

If I don't like the result am I able to create another one?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We want you to be satisfied with the outcome so if you're not happy then perhaps adjust the photo or try a different image.

Question 6

Is this technology created by GoodTrust?

Accepted Answer

This technology was introduced by the Israeli startup D-ID that specializes in facial-reenactment technology using deep learning. GoodTrust integrated this technology to animate faces in uploaded photographs. We're working closely with D-ID as they continue to innovate with it in new ways and we'll announce more features soon.

Where are the animations saved to? What can I do with them?

Accepted Answer

You can download the animations as videos to your personal computer and they are saved in your GoodTrust Library. We encourage you to share these memorable video clips with friends and family. You can use the 'Share' option via Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Twitter, WhatsApp and email. You can also use them to create a Future Message like a digital time capsule. It's all about surprise and delight.

Are the photos I upload to GoodTrust protected?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We do not share your animations, information or photos on our server with any third parties. GoodTrust provides the service yet the photos and animations belong only to you.

Question 9

Can multiple faces be animated in a single photo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. However, the current technology only allows one face to be animated at a time. If you want a second face to be animated this will produce a separate animation. You can select which face you wish to be animated when you upload a photo.

Is Singing Portraits part of an existing GoodTrust package?

Users who have a free GoodTrust plan will immediately be able to animate 3 photos (every month 3 will be available to you but they do not roll over each month). If you have a GoodTrust Premium Plan then you will receive 10 photo animations per month (also without roll over). With our Lifetime Plan you will receive unlimited photo animations along with your 10GB of storage.
