How to Close a Citibank of a Deceased Loved One:

  1. You can contact a Survivor Support Specialist at 1-800-881-3938 and immediately press *11 to get connected. Before you make the phone call, make sure to have this information ready:

    1. Name

    2. Last four digits of Social Security Number (or Tax Identification Number)

    3. Adress

    4. Date of Birth

    5. Date of Death

    6. Marital Status and Spouse Information if applicable

  2. After you have been in contact with a Survivor Support Specialist and they confirmed your request, send a copy of the death certificate to the Citi Benefits Center P.O. Box 785004, Orlando, FL 32878-5004.

  3. Additional documents you may need to provide are:

    1. Will/Trust

    2. Current Bank or Retirement Account Statements

    3. Birth Certificate

    4. Insurance Policies

    5. Court Appointment of the executor
