Our GoodTrust Team Is Growing: Welcome, Robyn!

Have you ever heard a story from someone else that resonated so much it felt like you were hearing your own story?

That's how it was when Robyn Sechler met GoodTrust's CEO and founder, Rikard Steiber, for the first time.

As a long-time advocate for preserving legacies, Robyn has been working in the field of estate planning and memory preservation for many years. Her passion comes from the loss of her dad and all the memories that went with him. Since her dad passed away 12 years ago, she has dedicated herself to ensuring no one else loses their treasured family memories and assets.

His passing made Robyn realize that he had not been intentional about planning for his digital assets, and so many others aren't either. In response she created a space where people can easily record, secure and pass on important things like photos, videos, and documents. Rikard, having a similar experience in losing his dad and other close friends, built GoodTrust to tackle the important question: "what happens to our stuff when we die?".

When she first heard Rikard's story, Robyn realized that coming together in this effort was a natural and exciting opportunity.

The Journey To GoodTrust

Prior to the start of Securing Memories, Robyn worked with her husband, Tim, in his estate planning law practice, during which time she educated clients about how to plan for the future as well as working alongside Tim to help grow the business.

Additionally Robyn has served on the board of the local Walk-to-End Alzheimer's for the past 8 years and continues to do so. Prior to diving into estate planning, Robyn had a 10-year career as a Dietitian at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in the transplant unit where conversations about living life to the fullest was a daily occurrence.

Ultimately Robyn and her family have made it their mission to pass on the important things in your life to the important people in your life, as they have been having conversations about what happens "after" for almost 2 decades.

Robyn comes to GoodTrust with a wealth of experience, insight, and passion about legacy planning and we are excited to have her on our team. She will be helping lead a number of key projects across the company as pertains to business development, marketing/social and communications.
